Hours: Monday to Friday

8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Wagmatcook First Nation is seeking reliable candidates for the Public Works department. The successful candidate(s) will join a team committed to ensuring public health and safety of the Wagmatcook First Nation community.

The Public Works employee responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing weekly garbage removal.
  • Participating in community clean ups.
  • Completing landscaping and snow removal seasonally.
  • Assisting in routine and emergency maintenance and repairs.
  • Participating in training and safety programs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Post-secondary training in a related field or previous experience, considered an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work in various environments, outdoors/indoors, cold/hot, rain/snow.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment safely.
  • Ability to lift to fifty (50) lbs.
