Education Assistants (5 positions open)

Wagmatcookewey School is looking for candidates to be employed as education assistants for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a full-time term renewable position subject to performance assessment.

Education Assistants will work with students who require additional supports to achieve their education and life skills.

The ideal candidate should have the following qualities and qualifications:

Hold a secondary school graduation certificate as a minimum academic credential.
Interested in working with children and youth with diversified needs in a school environment.
Able to work as part of a team to support children and youth.
Able to take instructions from teachers and professional support staff aimed at supporting the cognitive, affective and psychomotor development of children and youth.
Enthusiastic to work with children and youth in unique learning situations.
Creative and positive.
Dependable and reliable.
Willing to take additional training or workshops.
