Band Administration

The Chief and Council have created two administration sectors to support Wagmatcook’s operation and development. The first sector includes essential services such as finance, administration, membership, human resources, health, social assistance, education, public works, housing, employment, and economic development. The second sector includes commercial fishery, tourism, enterprise Centre, including the Wagmatcook provincial court, Cleanwave Restaurant, Gas Bar and Wagmatcook Learning Centre which hosts the Nova Scotia Community College.

The Administration team is comprised of professional employees responsible for the planning and implementation of programs and services for community members and the development of socio-economic activities which benefit the entire community.
