Wagmatcook Health Centre’s vision is to promote the health and well being of ALL community members by providing culturally appropriate, holistic and sustainable health care in a timely manner.
The Wagmatcook Health facility is a nationally accredited health facility with exemplary standing. The health centre services all community members and staff. Our health centre offers a wide range of programs and services supporting public health and safety as well as primary health care. Through partnerships and agreements with the Department of Health and Wellness, Nova Scotia Health, Family Services of Eastern Nova Scotia and Indigenous Services of Canada the Centre is able to provide a wide range of professional services. These services include: family physicians, nurse practitioner, nursing services, dietician services, laboratory services, psychiatrist services, and mental health and addiction services. The centre also offers community based programs such as immunizations, pre and postnatal care, preschool screening, home and community care programs including wound care, palliative care and home visits.
